Privacy Policy
Effective September 4, 2026. Jargon Assistant is operated by Branch Trading Co, LLC.
The short version
If you use the free tier, we do not store what you type. We store that a request happened, so we can count it against the daily limit. If you have a paid account, we store your submissions and results so you can see them in your history, and you can delete them at any time.
What we collect
Everyone
- A device identifier. A random value stored in your browser, used to count your free requests. It is not linked to your identity and we do not use it for advertising.
- A one-way hash of your IP address. Combined with a secret and hashed, so the original address is not recoverable from our records. Used only to detect automated abuse.
- Request metadata. Which mode you used, which formality level, and when.
Accounts
- Your email address. Used to sign you in and to attach your purchase to your account. We do not send marketing email.
- Purchase records. Plan, amount, currency, date, and Stripe identifiers.
Paid accounts only
- The text you submit and the results returned. This is what makes saved history work. Free-tier submissions are not stored.
What we do not collect
No card numbers. Stripe handles payment details and we never receive them. No advertising or analytics trackers. No cross-site tracking. No sale of personal information to anyone, for any purpose.

Who else processes your data
We use these services to operate Jargon Assistant. Each receives only what it needs.

Text you submit is sent to Anthropic to produce a result. It is not used to train their models under our commercial terms.
If you use the Dictate button, speech recognition is done by your browser, not by us. Chrome and Edge send the audio to Google, and Safari sends it to Apple, under their own privacy terms. We never receive audio. Only the resulting text reaches us, the same as if you had typed it.
How long we keep it
- Saved history: until you delete it or close your account.
- Usage counters: retained for abuse prevention and capacity planning. These contain no message content.
- Purchase records: retained as long as required for tax and accounting.
Your choices
You can delete your saved history at any time from your account page, without deleting your account. You can also request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing admin@everycorporatever.com. We will action it within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights to access, correct, or export your data, or to object to processing. Use the same address and we will honour them.
Deleting your account ends any access you purchased. A permanent Founding Member grant cannot be restored once the account is deleted.
Children
Jargon Assistant is intended for people in the workplace and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above and, for account holders, say so by email.
